Kids Five & Over (K50) is a growing nonprofit organization committed to connecting communities through educational, recreational, and enrichment opportunities that support the growth and well-being of youth. Our mission is to empower Seacoast youth to explore their unique interests and passions. We provide scholarships for extracurricular activities and foster ongoing support for children and teens who may not otherwise be able to participate. We’re seeking a Community Outreach Coordinator to help expand our reach, strengthen partnerships, and share our story through events, outreach, and communications.

Position Overview
The Community Outreach Coordinator will lead K50’s efforts to build visibility, strengthen donor and community relationships, and support the organization’s strategic goals. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on connecting people, enjoys event planning and communications, and wants to make a direct impact in a flexible, mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Outreach & Relationship Building

Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, local businesses, and supporters

Represent K50 at community events, school, or civic functions.

Coordinate volunteer and donor appreciation initiatives
Events & Fundraising

Plan, promote, and manage K50’s fundraising and community events throughout the year.

Support logistics, setup, and on-site coordination for key events.

Assist with donor outreach and follow-up communications.
Social Media & Communications

Manage K50’s social media presence (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) and create engaging content aligned with our mission.

Write and distribute a quarterly newsletter highlighting K50’s programs, partners, and impact stories, and design marketing material as needed.

Support the development of fundraising materials, donor communications, and website updates.
Strategic & Administrative Support

Collaborate with the President and Board on outreach and engagement strategy.

Track participation, engagement, and communication metrics to inform future planning.
Qualifications
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Experience in community outreach, event coordination, or nonprofit communications.

Comfort with social media management tools and digital content creation.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and attend occasional evening or weekend events.

A positive, collaborative, and mission-focused attitude.

Experience working with youth-serving organizations is a plus.
Time Committment and Compensation

Approximately 10–15 hours per week, flexible hybrid schedule with some in-person event attendance required.

This is a contract/part-time role with opportunities for growth as K50 expands.

Compensation: $25/hour
